Ynden is currently serving her third year as a board member of the Florida Nursing Students Association (FNSA). She holds an Associate Degree in Nursing from Florida State College at Jacksonville, where she previously served as Chapter President. She now works as a Registered Nurse in a Med-Surg/Trauma ICU while pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Florida.

In addition to her board role, Ynden serves as the Executive Committee Chairperson and Liaison Committee Chairperson, helping strengthen communication, collaboration, and operational leadership throughout the organization.

Driven by a passion for advocacy and public health, Ynden plans to pursue a PhD in Public Health, with research interests centered on environmental toxicology and its impact on underserved populations in the United States.

Outside of nursing, she loves traveling and exploring the outdoors. One of her most memorable experiences was hiking for 12 hours to reach the summit of Mt. Pulag, the third-highest peak in the Philippines. Her other favorite destinations include Kyoto, Alaska, Hanoi, and the Reserva Nacional de Fauna Andina in Bolivia.

Ynden is honored to continue serving and supporting nursing students across Florida through leadership, connection, and meaningful engagement.
