This committee is chaired by the 2nd Vice President voted into position at the annual state convention. Their appointment continues for one year. Committee members are welcome to apply here at any time following the annual state convention. Their appointment continues for one year or up to six months following graduation.

Committee members are expected to work with FNSA and the committee on events and provide updates to the FNSA Executive Board. Members are encouraged to attend committee meetings, collaborate with nursing leaders and organizations, and promote student engagement at the convention through the following pathways:

• Ensuring a positive and fulfilling convention experience for students, faculty, speakers, sponsors, and guests.

• Help coordinate guest speakers, especially in leadership roles, to help inspire nursing students.

• Coordinate volunteers and assists with set up and tear down of convention events.

• Maintain order at the House of Delegates.

• Develop educational and interactive sessions to engage nursing students.

• Plan the Opening Night Party.

• With the assistance of the Executive Director, choose a suitable location for the FNSA Convention. 

FNSA Bylaws - Article VII, Section 11

SECTION 11. The Committee on Conventions and Programs shall: 

1. Be chaired by the Second Vice-President and consist of members who represent each region of the state, when possible. 

2. Assist the Chairperson in the planning and coordinating of the convention, including speakers, location, determination, agenda, programs, menus, and further assistance as deemed appropriate. 

3. Perform all other duties pertaining to the office.

• Volunteer for event set up and tear down to earn points toward Diamond Chapter
