The Florida Nursing Students Association (FNSA) is a student-led, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the personal, academic, and professional development of nursing students across the state of Florida. As the official state chapter of the National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA), FNSA represents future nurses and provides a platform for student leadership, advocacy, and collaborative engagement.
FNSA unites nursing students from diverse programs and communities, offering opportunities to grow through statewide initiatives such as leadership roles, educational workshops, scholarships, community service, policy advocacy, and our Annual State Convention. We strive to empower the next generation of nurses by fostering critical thinking, professional excellence, and a strong commitment to ethical and compassionate care.
Guided by our bylaws and core mission, FNSA supports student voices in shaping the future of healthcare. Through advocacy and resolutions, legislative involvement, and partnership with healthcare and academic leaders, we work to elevate issues that impact nursing education and public health.

Leadership Development
We build strong nurse leaders through board positions, committees, delegation roles, and statewide collaboration. Students gain experience in professional communication, event planning, parliamentary procedure, and organizational leadership.

Advocacy & Legislation
FNSA gives students a voice in healthcare policy through resolutions, legislative involvement, and voting processes within the House of Delegates. Students learn how to advocate for public health and represent the needs of nurses and patients within Florida and beyond.
