Annual FNSA Convention

The Florida Nursing Students Association (FNSA) is one of the largest constituents of the National Student Nurses’ Association (NSNA). As such, we consistently hold one of the largest state conventions with over 1,000 attendees from across the state and region.

This year, our event will be held on October 20-23, 2026 at the Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa (600 US-41, Palmetto, FL 34221). A special discounted rate of $189.00 per night will be applied for all those who book through this link. Each room holds a maximum of four occupants. House of Delegates
The primary voting and policy-building body of the organization, the House of Delegates is made of representatives from nursing schools across Florida. This is the official business meeting that decides on which bylaws amendments and resolutions to pass, as well as who is eligible to run for state office. High School Day
This year, the FNSA is pushing to expand our membership to pre-nursing students, including high school students who are interested in the profession. The 2026 FNSA Convention will be open to high school students and faculty on October 21, 2026. Learn more about our efforts to decrease the nationwide nursing shortage here.

Accolades

The students that are active in FNSA represent the cream of the crop of Florida's future caregivers. In 1995, 2000, 2004, 2005, 2009, and 2016, FNSA took top honors at the NSNA Convention bringing home the "State Excellence Award" as well as the "Membership Award" in our category in 1995, 1997, 2000, 2001, and 2003. In 2005, we also earned the "Outstanding State Newsletter Award" for the Hotline. Several schools and individuals from Florida have been honored with awards and have also been elected to serve on the national level including various positions on the NSNA Board of Directors.
Most recently, the FNSA won the “Most Successful Statewide Convention Award” for 2026. Help us continue on this path of excellence by attending this year!
