FNSA Region 4 – Active Chapters by County

Nicole Erickson proudly serves as the Region 4 Director for the Florida Nursing Students Association (FNSA) and as the Breakthrough to Nursing (BTN) Committee Chairperson. This is her first year serving on the FNSA Board. She is currently a student nurse at Pasco-Hernando State College, where she is pursuing her Associate of Science in Nursing.

Nicole is passionate about student leadership, community outreach, and inspiring the next generation of nurses. As Breakthrough to Nursing Chairperson, she looks forward to growing initiatives that promote nursing as a career through community engagement, mentorship, and partnerships with schools and organizations across Florida. She is committed to increasing access to healthcare education and creating meaningful opportunities for future nursing students.

Looking ahead, Nicole plans to continue her education and pursue further studies focused on healthcare leadership and advocacy. She hopes to build a career that combines clinical practice, leadership, and community impact, allowing her to make a difference both within healthcare and the communities she serves.

Originally from Washington State, Nicole grew up participating in 4-H Clubs, competitively showing horses, and taking on leadership roles. Outside of nursing, she enjoys traveling, making baked goods, and spending time outdoors. She believes some of life's best lessons come from new experiences and connecting with people from different walks of life.

As Region 4 Director, Nicole is proud to represent and support nursing students throughout the region. She looks forward to fostering leadership, strengthening collaboration, and creating meaningful opportunities for engagement within FNSA and the nursing profession.

The Florida Nursing Students Association (FNSA) Region 4 proudly represents nursing students across Citrus, Hardee, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, and Sumter counties. Covering a broad area of West Central Florida, Region 4 brings together nursing students and programs from communities throughout the region. Through FNSA, students have opportunities to connect across schools, strengthen their leadership skills, participate in professional and community initiatives, and become more involved in the nursing profession. Together, Region 4 students and chapters form a collaborative network focused on student engagement, professional growth, advocacy, and preparing the next generation of nurses for leadership and practice.
