FNSA Region 5 – Active Chapters by County

Florida Nursing Students Association (FNSA) Region 5 proudly represents nursing students across Palm Beach, Broward, Martin, and St. Lucie counties. The region is home to several active and engaged chapters, including Broward College and Nova Southeastern University in Broward CountyFlorida Atlantic UniversityPalm Beach Atlantic UniversityPalm Beach State College, and South University – West Palm Beach in Palm Beach CountyIndian River State College serving Martin and St. Lucie counties; and Keiser University campuses in Fort Lauderdale (Broward County) and Port St. Lucie (St. Lucie County). Together, these institutions form a strong collaborative network committed to leadership development, professional growth, advocacy, and advancing the future of nursing across South Florida.

Judelyn Placide proudly serves as the Region 5 Director and Resolutions Committee Chair for the Florida Nursing Students Association (FNSA). She is currently earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at AHU, with plans to begin her nursing career in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and later pursue her goal of becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).

Judelyn brings a background in business and finance, which has strengthened her organizational, leadership, and advocacy skills. As a proud Haitian American nursing student, she values cultural awareness, inclusivity, and collaboration—principles that guide her work and leadership within FNSA.

As Region 5 Director, Judelyn is committed to strengthening communication across chapters, supporting sustainable growth, and inspiring greater student engagement in statewide initiatives. In her role as Resolutions Chair, she is dedicated to helping students develop strong, evidence-based resolutions that highlight significant issues impacting nursing education and professional practice.

Judelyn looks forward to empowering student voices and continuing to uplift the next generation of nursing leaders across Florida.
